- Download Mac OS X virtual machine on VirtualBox or VMware
- Downloaded Xcode file from Apple site. You must have an Apple ID before you can download Xcode from the Apple store.
- Dual-Core Intel computer processor
- Minimum 2GB of RAM
- Presence of hardware virtualization on the computer
Ways to Install the Xcode on Windows Operating System
Below are the steps to install Xcode on Windows 10, 8 or 8.1 and Windows 7 desktop or Laptop for iOS SDK.
Step 1- Download and install VMware or VirtualBox on your Windows computer. Search for “VirtualBox 5.2.4 platform files” then click on “Windows Hosts.”
Step 2- Download and install the OSX Mavericks ISO as a virtual machine.
Step 3- Create the virtual machine on your Oracle virtual box. For that, (open Virtual Box, then click New).
Step 4- Get a new window requesting for the new operating system’s name. Then enter the Name as OSX, and the OS Type as Mac OS X more, fill the Version of the OS as Mac OS X (32 bit). Then click Next.
Step 5- After completing step 4, you need to select the RAM for the Virtual Machine. 1 GB memory size is quite suitable to run the Android on the Windows Computer. So choose the size of the mind and press the Next button
Step 6- After completing step 5, create the Virtual Hard Drive type file.
Step 7- Hardware file must be selected as VDI, i.e. (Virtual Box Disk Image).
N. B It is recommended you always go for the VDI in terms of ISO image. After this, click Next.
Step 8- Select the physical hard drive as Dynamically allocated, then you allocate the file its location with the Android’s size on the physical hard drive of your device. Hence, the process of creating a virtual machine on your virtual box has just been completed.
Step 9- in order to Mount the downloaded ISO file, follow this path. Go to the Settings >> Storage >> Load >> ISO File >> Click ok >> Start.
Follow the instructions on the OSX boot screen, then OSX will install on the Oracle Virtual.
Step 10- Now open any Browser or and Sign in with your valid Apple ID and Password
Step 11- Once the signing in is completed, search for the Xcode by typing Xcode into the search box, then locate the Xcode app from as many apps and download the free one. Then, click OK to download and install.
Step 12- Once the installation is completed, open up the application. Provide the root credential to access the installed Xcode components. Then enter your ID (Name and Password) before clicking OK.
Once you press the Ok, it’s complete now.
Having completed the installing of the latest version of Xcode on your Windows, now you can create new projects with the Xcode and develop many applications. Just Install it and start working.
